Microtiter wells were coated either with R24 F(ab')2 fragments (O), V1-R24 F(ab')2 fragments (O), chimeric R24 (1) or chimeric M195 (rn). V1-R24 and chimeric M195 do not express the idiotope recognized by BEC2 and serve as negative controls. Binding of BEC2 was measured by enzyme-linked immnnosorbent assay (ELISA) as described in Materials and method.

SK-MEL-28 ceils (2.5 x 104/well) were plated in 24-well plates in the presence of 100 ug/mI either R24 (A) or chR24 (B). After overnight incubation at 37 ~ C, wells were photographed under phase microscopy.
