This monoclonal antibody against Propionibacterium acnes can be potentially used for preventing and treating P. acnes infections.

C57BL/6 mice were treated by i.v. injection of heat-killed P. acnes (10 mg/mouse) on day 0 and were given an i.v. injection of LPS (10 μ g/mouse) on day 7. mAb 2A10 or PBS was injected i.p. 2 h before LPS injection.
