Mouse Anti-MOG Recombinant Antibody (clone 8-18C5) (CAT#: PABZ-152)

Recombinant mouse Antibody (8-18C5) is capable of binding to rat Mog. The antibody 8-18C5 binds to three loops located at the membrane-distal side of MOG with a surprisingly dominant contribution made by MOG residues 101–108 containing a strained loop that forms the upper edge of the putative ligand binding site.

Untransfected LTK⁻ cells are negative when stained with mAb 8-18C5. b MOG-LTK⁻ transfectants exhibit intense red surface staining after incubation with 8-18C5. Nuclei are counterstained green with Syto13. The scale bars indicate 20 μm. c and d show the corresponding FACS staining with the anti-MOG mAb 8-18C5, demonstrating a clear signal for the transfectants. All the mouse mAbs exhibited the same staining pattern.

mAb 8-18C5 only recognised the intact Ig-domain of MOG, as did mAbs Y1, Y2, Y8, Y9, Z2, Z4 and Z12.
