Anti-SNCA Intrabody [+36GFP] (IAB-B031(G))

Recombinant anti-SNCA intrabody in fusion with +36GFP works within cells to bind human monomeric wild-type SNCA, expressed in E. coli cells. The intrabody stabilizes detergent-soluble monomeric syn and inhibits the formation of detergent-insoluble high-molecular-weight syn species. In addition, the intrabody ameliorates the decreased cell adhesion that characterizes the syn-overexpressing cells. Anti-SNCA intrabodies may represent novel molecular therapeutics for synucleinopathies, with implications for other neurodegenerative disorders caused by misfolded accumulated proteins.
