Anti-melanoma-associatedproteoglycan × Anti-CD28 Bispecific Antibody (TAND-L047)

Recombinant Anti-melanoma-associated proteoglycan × Anti-CD28 Bispecific Antibody (TandAb) is a bispecific fusion protein with four binding sites, two of which bind to antigens of one kind of cells and the other two to the other kind of cells. TandAbs do not carry Fc domains, are smaller than whole IgGs or IgG-derived bsAbs, but larger than BiTEs. Therefore, they have a shorter serum half-life than IgGs but remain longer in the circulation compared with BiTEs. This BsAb can induce a TCR/CD3 independent, "supraagonistic" stimulation of the CD28 molecule on resting human T cells, which depends on tumor cell binding and results in tumor cell killing. It was designed for the treatment of melanoma cancer.
