Tandem Diabody (TandAb)

Creative Biolabs possesses unchallenged experience in tandem diabody (also termed bispecific tetravalent antibody) synthesis. Our multiple platforms are elaborately integrated for providing customers the expected tandem diabodies with high affinity and low immunogenicity for both academic and clinical purposes.

Although both tandem diabodies and IgG-derived BsAbs have tetravalent property, they are completely different forms. IgG-derived BsAbs is achieved by linking Fcs of two distinct IgGs. But tandem diabodies are generated from artificial vectors encoding tandem two VLs/VHs pairs from two distinct Fv, which also means tandem diabodies do not carry Fc domains (Figure). Therefore, they are smaller than whole IgGs or IgG-derived BsAbs but larger than other single domain BsAbs. The moderate size also endows TandAb a better tissue penetrating ability and longer serum half-life than the former and the latter formats repectively. In addition, the tetravalent property, which means bivalent for each antigen, can significantly improve its binding efficiency and consequent therapeutic outcome. In present medical application, tandem diabodies are mainly utilized in recruiting NK cells and macrophages to tumors. Thus, its outstanding properties can undoubtedly be applied in broader fields.

Highlighted by recombinant antibody synthesis platform, multiple bio-engineering platforms in Creative Biolabs are integrated as a budget and time-saving working procedure. It is set up to provide tandem diabodies with high-affinity for any pair of interested targets.
