The anti-ADAMTS4 antibody 7E8.1E3 targets ADAMTS4 that is kind of aggrecanases of which the activities can result in the degradation of the cartilage matrix. By inhibiting ADAMTS4 and thereby reducing the breakdown of extracellular matrix aggrecan in cartilage and other tissues, 7E8.1E3 can be used in the treatment of diseases of cartilage.
