Anti-Human APP Recombinant Antibody (2B3) (CAT#: TAB-0847CLV)
The anti-APP antibody 2B3 specifically binds amyloid precursor protein from which the β-amyloid is cleaved. By binding the APP and therefore reducing the accumulation or the release of β-amyloid, the antibody can be used in the treatment of conditions related with elevated levels of β-amyloid, such as Alzheimer's Disease.

Both antibodies detected full length APP at 103KDa (±2.5 KDa) and a smaller protein at 56KDa (±0.6 KDa), which was most likely a thrombin cleavage fragment of APP.

Data are expressed as a mean (± SEM) % of the standard antibody (6E10) at 0.1μg/ml. 2B12 recognised sAPPα and sAPPβ equally well, however, significantly more 2B3 bound to sAPPα than to sAPPβ.
