Recombinant Mouse Antibody (5F-10) is capable of binding to CHIKV E2 glycoprotein, expressed in Chinese Hamster Ovary cells (CHO). This antibody fixes the B domain rigidly to the surface of the virus, blocking exposure of the fusion loop on glycoprotein E1, and therefore preventing the virus from becoming fusogenic.

Purified mAbs bind the CHIKV11 isolate as assessed by immunofluorescence binding assay. Infected HEK293T cells probed with 5F10. All mAbs were used at 1 μg/ml.
