The purified proteins (3 μg) were loaded onto a 10-percent polyacrylamide gel in the presence of 2-ME and were separated by electrophoresis and transferred to nitrocellulose paper. The blots were then incubated with rabbit anti-mouse F(ab) conjugated with alkaline phospha-tase (which primarily recognizes mouse light chains).
