The anti-SHH antibody 6D7 is a recombinant antibody against SHH. It can be used for prevention and treatment studies of a condition associated with abnormal SHH activity, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and chronic immunological diseases of the nervous system.

mAbs 6D7 (A) and 3H8 (B) were serially diluted and binding to recombinant human SHH C24II, IHH C28II, and DHH C23II was detected after 16 hours of incubation.

Varying concentrations of 6D7, 3H8, 5E1, or negative control mAb R347 were mixed with 1 mg/ml (A) hSHH C24II or (B) human/mouse IHH C28II and incubated with cells for 24 hours. Values plotted are percentage of ligand stimulation in the absence of antibody and they represent mean ± SEM. C and D, hedgehog antibodies inhibit osteoblast differentiation of C3H10T1/2 cells induced by hedgehog ligands. C3H10T1/2 cells were treated with 600 ng/ml SHH C24II (C) or 3 mg/ml IHH C28II (D) for 3 days in the presence of serially diluted antibody.
