This product is a recombinant human anti-Varicella-zoster virus monoclonal antibody. DDF-VZV2 specifically targets VZV and can be potentially used in the treatment and diagnosis of Varicella-zoster virus infection.

ELISA
Figure 1 shows the VZV binding activity for the preparation of recombinant phage expressing DDF-VZV1 (VZV-1), DDF-VZV2 (VZV-2), or unrelated human Fab (e-137) used as a negative control.
The binding activity was measured in ELISA using the indicated antigen used for plate coating in the form of whole protein extract (for MRC-5 cells) or purified protein (bovine serum albumin, for BSA).

Figure 2 shows immunofluorescence and staining by DDF-VZV1 (A) and DDF-VZV2 (B) of VZV-infected MRC-5 cells.
Cell membranes are indicated by white lines and nuclear membranes by dotted white lines. The Fab on the uninfected cells was used to obtain unstained.

Figure 3 shows VZV neutralizing activity against DDF-VZV1 (A) and DDF-VZV2 (B), as expressed as partially purified human recombinant Fabs shown on phage coat proteins.
Dose-response analysis of plaque reduction was performed in parallel with the corresponding concentrations of unrelated human Fab (e137).

Figure 4 shows VZV neutralizing activity against human Fab DDF-VZV1 and DDF-VZV2 as expressed and purified using the pDLac system.
Each Fab was used at the indicated concentration and plaque reduction was calculated.
