Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Easy Conjugation Options
The option to choose different fluorophores for the MHC Pentamer was a plus, allowing me to customize my panel depending on the experimental needs.

Cost-Effective Solution
The price point for this MHC Pentamer is very reasonable considering the quality and reliability of the results. It's an excellent value for the cost.

High Binding Avidity
The pentamer's design ensures high binding avidity, which improved my detection limits substantially. Noticeable improvement compared to tetramers I used before.

Q&As

  1. Can I use this tetramer for detecting the protein in different cell lines?

A: The PLAC1 peptide that HLA-A*02:01 presents is recognized by certain T cells, which is how the tetramer is intended to identify them. Direct protein identification in cell lines is not done using it.

  2. Are there known limitations to using this tetramer?

A: HLA restriction and PLAC1 peptide specificity are two drawbacks. It might not be relevant to people who do not express the peptide or who are not HLA-A*02:01.

  3. What methods are available for conjugating the tetramer with detection agents?

A: FITC is commonly pre-conjugated using tetramers. Chemical cross-linking techniques such as biotin-streptavidin interactions can be used if further conjugation is required.
