SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-APCS pH-dependent Antibody (VS-0825-YC217)

The anti-APCS pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC217) is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that exhibits pH-dependent antigen binding to human APCS. By introducing histidine mutations that act as a pH-switch, the antibody demonstrates a preferential affinity for APCS under acidic conditions compared to physiological pH. Using a yeast surface display system with pH-dependent screening pressure, this mAb is identified which shows a significant increase in dissociation from APCS at pH 6.0. This pH-sensitive antibody retains its binding affinity on tumor cells while exhibiting negligible binding to the receptor on normal cells at physiological pH. Human APCS (Amyloid P Component, Serum) is a protein that binds to amyloid fibrils and is a component of amyloid deposits. It is a biomarker for inflammation and is implicated in diseases such as amyloidosis.
