The AbPlus Anti-Bax Magnetic Beads (VS-0724-YC93) is an innovative affinity resin which is bound with anti-Bax specific antibody. The beads were designed for small-scale affinity purification and immunoprecipitation (IP) of Bax protein under native and denaturing conditions.

- The beads are in suspension and will settle upon storage. Prior to use, mix the vial gently (do not vortex) to ensure delivery of proper bead volume.

- Enables Hsp70 protein binding activity; chaperone binding activity; and identical protein binding activity. Involved in activation of cysteine-type endopeptidase activity involved in apoptotic process. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including animal organ development; apoptotic signaling pathway; and regulation of apoptotic process. Located in cytosol; endoplasmic reticulum; and mitochondrial outer membrane. Part of BAX complex. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; branchial arch; central nervous system; genitourinary system; and sensory organ. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in acute lymphoblastic leukemia; ataxia telangiectasia; colon adenocarcinoma; colorectal cancer; and lung non-small cell carcinoma. Orthologous to human BAX (BCL2 associated X, apoptosis regulator).
