Figure 2 MCF of CD4+ cells had recovered to normal levels and this time was selected for the transplant to evaluate the effects of donor specific alloantigen.

(A) Fluorescence-activated cell sorter analysis of naïve BUF splenocytes revealed 48% CD4+ T cells. (B) 24 hr after in vivo administration of 20 mg/kg mAb, RIB 5/2, the MCF of CD4 cells was markedly reduced, whereas the percentage remained essentially the same at 44%. (C) By Day 21 after administration of RIB 5/2 (20 mg/kg), the MCF of CD4 cells had recovered and represented 35% of the total BUF splenocytes.

RIB 5/2 treatment resulted in significant prolongation of reporter gene expression in the lungs of rats. Data are presented as the mean ± SEM of luciferase activity per milligram of protein in lung homogenates over time.

Again RIB 5/2 treatment was associated with significantly greater activity of the reporter gene in lung homogenates. Naive animals received PBS intratracheally to control for background in the lung homogenate.
