Anti-CEACAM5 Antibody-Cytokine Fusion Protein, IgG (MFE-23)-IL2 (CAT#: VS-0624-FY97)
MFE-23 is the first single-chain Fv antibody molecule for use in patients and targets colorectal cancer through its high affinity for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), a cell surface member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. IL-2 plays an important role in the key functions of the immune system, tolerance and immunity, primarily through direct effects on T cells. In the thymus, where T cells mature, it prevents autoimmune diseases by promoting the differentiation of certain immature T cells into regulatory T cells, which suppress other T cells that would otherwise attack normal, healthy cells in the body. This is a anti-CEA (clone MFE-23) IgG-IL2 immunocytokine. IL-2 is fused to the light-chain C-terminus of anti-CEA (MFE-23) IgG molecule. This product is for immuno therapy research.

- This gene encodes a cell surface glycoprotein that represents the founding member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family of proteins. The encoded protein is used as a clinical biomarker for gastrointestinal cancers and may promote tumor development through its role as a cell adhesion molecule. Additionally, the encoded protein may regulate differentiation, apoptosis, and cell polarity. This gene is present in a CEA family gene cluster on chromosome 19. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
