A monoclonal antibody (HPAB-AP605-YC) which specifically detects proteins with a citrulline residue is provided to detect citrullinated proteins and to diagnose and treatment studies of autoimmune diseases. The antibody can detect the citrulline screen peptide present in the tissue of patients with RA specifically it was confirmed by immunohistochemical staining.

SDS-PAGE analysis of HPAB-AP605-YC in non-reduced (Lane 1) and reduced (Lane 2) conditions. Gel stained for 30 minutes with Coomassie Blue. As a result, different β-mercaptoethanol-reduced proteins (Heavy chain and Light chain) migrate as about 50 kDa and 25 kDa, respectively. And non-reduced protein migrates as 180-230 kDa.

The purity of HPAB-AP605-YC was greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC.
