Recombinant Anti-COMP Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (15A var.)

The anti-COMP eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against rat COMP. COMP interacts with cartilage matrix proteins, potentially affecting osteoarthritis progression. The antibody has a novel COMP-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble COMP from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
