Mouse Anti-DES Recombinant Antibody (DE321)

The anti-DES recombinant antibody (DE321) reacts with human, monkey, mouse, rat and rabbit DES. Desmin is the primary intermediate filament protein in all muscle cell types. It forms a scaffold that connects the Z-discs of the sarcomere to the plasma membrane and the nucleus. Desmin is essential for maintaining the structural and mechanical integrity of muscle fibers. Mutations in DES cause desmin-related myopathy and cardiomyopathy, characterized by massive protein aggregation. The anti-DES antibody (DE321) has been tested in Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC) and Western Blot (WB).
