The e8 Fab binds to a significant proportion of HCV E1E2 pp Ia infected cells. The binding is specific and significantly higher than binding of e8 to uninfected cells, as demonstrated on the horizontal scale, measuring log fluorescence intensity, where a significant proportion of HCV E1E2 pp Ia infected cells show a high level of fluorescence compared to uninfected cells.
