A. baumannii A.b.56, K. pneumoniae, P. aeruginosa, and MRSA S.a.48 (approximately 10E8 colony-forming units/ml) were individually incubated with EB211 or EB279 (400 µg/ml), followed by a mouse anti-human scFv fragment polyclonal antibody (M) and then by a goat anti-mouse immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody conjugated with horse radish peroxidase (G). Both scFvs exhibited binding to A. baumannii A.b.56, K. pneumoniae ATCC 700603, P. aeruginosa ATCC 27853. The bacteria incubated with EB211, followed by M; EB211, followed by G; M, followed by G; or DAB/H2O2 (D) served as the controls.
