Human Anti-GAPDH Recombinant Antibody (clone lesion)

GAPDH is glycolytic enzymes essential for efficient energy production and are expressed in all prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms. In addition to its glycolytic functions, GAPDH is a multifunctional protein endowed with diverse activities, including phosphorylating transverse-tubule proteins, stimulating RNA transcription, and influencing DNA replication and DNA repair. TPI and GAPDH have been considered to associate with brain microtubules. Anti-TPI or anti-GAPDH Abs may induce an immune hypersensitivity reaction, through activation of complements and macrophages, leading to neuronal and axonal degeneration in MS.

Reliable Loading Control
We used this Anti-GAPDH Recombinant Antibody (clone lesion) as a loading control in Western Blot. It gave a very strong and consistent signal. It is essential for normalizing our protein expression data.
High Specificity GAPDH
We tested this antibody in ELISA and it showed high specificity for human GAPDH. Given GAPDH's role in glycolysis and other pathways, having a reliable recombinant antibody is very helpful for our metabolic studies.
