Rabbit Anti-GSN Recombinant Antibody (clone R06-2I7)

The R06-2I7 recombinant monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes human GSN. It cross-reacts with rat. It is suitable for use in a variety of assays, including WB, IHC-P, IP. This gelsolin antibody was used in western blot analysis of gelsolin in MCF-7, C6, Hela lysates.

- Calcium-regulated, actin-modulating protein that binds to the plus (or barbed) ends of actin monomers or filaments, preventing monomer exchange (end-blocking or capping). It can promote the assembly of monomers into filaments (nucleation) as well as sever filaments already formed.
Plays a role in ciliogenesis.
