The anti-GUCY2C pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC150) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target both human and mouse GUCY2C. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to GUCY2C. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of GUCY2C on cells and tissues. GUCY2C, or Guanylyl Cyclase C, is a transmembrane receptor that is expressed in the gastrointestinal tract. It is involved in regulating fluid and electrolyte balance and is a highly specific marker for colorectal cancer, making it an excellent therapeutic target.
