Provided is a monoclonal anti-idiotypic antibody (anti-Id mAb) against a monoclonal anti-haloperidol antibody (anti-HAL mAb), which recognized the phenylpiperidine ring moiety of haloperidol. In binding and immunoprecipitation studies, it showed that the anti-Id mAb specifically recognized σ receptors in rat brain.
