Figure 1 Immunoprecipitation of proteins with anti-receptor monoclonal antibody.

Material in a and b is from two experiments. (a) WEHI-3 cells were surface labeled with 125l and sonicated. The particulate material obtained was then solubilized with 1% TritonX-100. Protein in the soluble extract was immediately immunopre-cipitated with the rat monoclonal antibody GR-20, immobilized on Sepharose beads. Protein eluted from the beads was analyzed by NaDodSO4/PAGE and autoradiography. Lanes: 1, eluate from control beads bearing normal rat immunoglobulin; 2, protein eluted from beads bearing GR-20. (b) Similar experiment that used asstarting material an enriched preparation containing almost exclusively 60-kDa protein. Lanes: 1, eluate from control beads with normal rat immunoglobulin; 2, protein eluted from beads bearing GR-20. The positions of molecular mass markers are shown at the left in kDa.
