The anti-ITGB6 pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC229) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target human ITGB6. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to ITGB6. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of ITGB6 on cells and tissues. Human ITGB6 is an integrin subunit that pairs with Integrin αv to form a receptor for extracellular matrix proteins and is a key activator of TGF-β. It is involved in wound healing and fibrosis, and is overexpressed in many types of cancers, where it promotes tumor growth and metastasis.
