Recombinant Anti-LGALS3 Eliminating Antibody, pH-Sensitive (CBL228 var.)

The anti-LGALS3 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human LGALS3. LGALS3 is a carbohydrate-binding protein involved in cell adhesion and immune regulation. The antibody has a novel LGALS3-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble LGALS3 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
