The Recombinant Anti-MAPT (AA 220-224 x AA 506-511) Biparatopic Antibody, Tandem scFv (Clone 13A6 x Clone 19G10) is a biparatopic antibody (bpAb) that recognizes two discrete MAPT epitopes. The bpAb's tandem scFv arrangement consists of the 13A6 scFv (targeting amino acids 220-224, GPPLK) N-terminally fused to the 19G10 scFv (specific for amino acids 506-511, PKSGDR).

Target
- Introduction
- The microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT)'s transcript undergoes complex, regulated alternative splicing, giving rise to several mRNA species. MAPT transcripts are differentially expressed in the nervous system, depending on stage of neuronal maturation and neuron type. MAPT gene mutations have been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Pick's disease, frontotemporal dementia, cortico-basal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.
