The Recombinant Anti-MAPT (AA 506-511 x AA 537-541) Biparatopic Antibody, Tandem scFv (Clone 19G10 x Clone 10H8) is a biparatopic antibody (bpAb) designed to bind two distinct MAPT epitopes. This bpAb incorporates a tandem scFv: the 19G10 scFv (targeting amino acids 506-511, PKSGDR) is N-terminally fused to the 10H8 scFv (specific for amino acids 537-541, TREPK).

- Introduction
- The microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT)'s transcript undergoes complex, regulated alternative splicing, giving rise to several mRNA species. MAPT transcripts are differentially expressed in the nervous system, depending on stage of neuronal maturation and neuron type. MAPT gene mutations have been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Pick's disease, frontotemporal dementia, cortico-basal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.
