Rabbit Anti-MGMT Recombinant Antibody (VS13-YC728) (CAT#: VS13-YC728)
The Rabbit Anti-MGMT Recombinant Antibody is specific for human MGMT. MGMT encodes a DNA repair enzyme for alkylating agent defense, repairing methylated DNA lesions, with promoter methylation associated with cancers like glioblastoma. The anti-MGMT antibody can be used for Western blot (1/1000-1/2000), Immunohistochemistry-paraffin (1/50-1/200).

- Involved in the cellular defense against the biological effects of O6-methylguanine (O6-MeG) in DNA. Repairs alkylated guanine in DNA by stoichiometrically transferring the alkyl group at the O-6 position to a cysteine residue in the enzyme. This is a suicide reaction: the enzyme is irreversibly inactivated.
