This acid-switched antibody targets human osteopontin (OPN) in a pH-dependent manner. It demonstrates stronger binding to OPN at neutral pH but releases the antigen in the acidic environment of the endosome. Human OPN is a multifunctional secreted protein implicated in a wide range of biological processes, including bone mineralization, inflammation, and cell adhesion. Serving as a signaling molecule, OPN is highly expressed in inflammatory conditions, positioning it as a key player in both normal physiology and disease states.
