The R09-4H8 recombinant monoclonal antibody exhibits specific binding to human PSMA2. It cross-reacts with mouse, rat. It is suitable for use in a variety of assays, including WB, IHC-F, IHC-P, ICC/IF. The Proteasome alpha 2 antibody has been teted positive by western blot analysis of proteasome 20S alpha 2 in mouse spleen, 3T3 lysates and immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded human tonsil.

- The 26S proteasome plays a key role in the maintenance of protein homeostasis by removing misfolded or damaged proteins that could impair cellular functions, and by removing proteins whose functions are no longer required. Associated with the PA200 or PA28, the 20S proteasome mediates ubiquitin-independent protein degradation.
