The anti-PTH eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human, cynomolgus and rat PTH. PTH is a hormone regulating calcium levels, with dysregulation causing conditions like hyperparathyroidism. The antibody has a novel PTH-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble PTH from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
