SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-SELL pH-dependent Antibody (Clone Aselizumab)

The anti-SELL pH-dependent antibody (clone Aselizumab) is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that exhibits pH-dependent antigen binding to human SELL (CD62L). By introducing histidine mutations that act as a pH-switch, the antibody demonstrates a preferential affinity for SELL under acidic conditions compared to physiological pH. Using a yeast surface display system with a pH-dependent screening pressure, this mAb is identified which shows a significant increase in dissociation from SELL at pH 6.0. This pH-sensitive antibody retains its binding affinity on tumor cells while exhibiting negligible binding to the receptor on normal cells at physiological pH. Human SELL (Selectin L), also known as CD62L, is a cell adhesion molecule expressed on leukocytes. It is essential for the homing of leukocytes to lymph nodes and sites of inflammation, playing a crucial role in immune surveillance.
