Anti-SFRP4 Antibody Prodrug, Protease Activated (CBS6)

The Anti-SFRP4 Antibody Prodrug, Protease Activated (CBS6) is an antibody prodrug comprised of a recombinant mouse antibody targeting human SFRP4, linked to a masking peptide that conceals the active antigen-binding site via a protease-cleavable linker. The mask peptide is recombinantly attached to the amino terminus of either the light or heavy chain of the antibody, designed to block access to the antigen-binding site and physically prevent the antibody from binding to SFRP4 protein. Once the masking peptide is cleaved by matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), the prodrug is activated, allowing the unmasked monoclonal antibody component to bind to SFRP4 effectively. SFRP4 (Secreted Frizzled-Related Protein 4) is a soluble protein that is a key antagonist of the Wnt signaling pathway. It generally acts as a tumor suppressor, and its downregulation or loss contributes to the activation of oncogenic Wnt signaling in many cancers.

- Secreted frizzled-related protein 4 (SFRP4) is a member of the SFRP family that contains a cysteine-rich domain homologous to the putative Wnt-binding site of Frizzled proteins. SFRPs act as soluble modulators of Wnt signaling. The expression of SFRP4 in ventricular myocardium correlates with apoptosis related gene expression.
