The anti-SLITRK6 pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC7) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target human SLITRK6. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, leading to pH-biased binding to SLITRK6. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of SLITRK6 on cells and tissues. Human SLITRK6 is a transmembrane protein primarily expressed in the inner ear and the eye. This protein is essential for the proper development and survival of inner ear nerve cells and also helps regulate eyeball growth; mutations in its gene are linked to deafness and severe myopia.
