Rat Anti-TCR Recombinant Antibody (clone KJ16) (CAT#: FAMAB-0109-CN)

KJ16 is a rat monoclonal antibody specific for the Vβ8.1-2 domains of the TCR. KJ16 is directed against an allelic determinant on T cells that may be close to the membrane, and not in the receptor binding site for antigen plus MHC. The antibody may recognize an allele of a constant region isotype, or an allele of a J region.

ELISA readings were calculated by averaging triplicate wells, subtracting background readings from wells incubated with cells and alkaline phosphatasecoupled rabbit anti-rat immunoglobulin but no primary antibody, and combining the errors appropriately to obtain standard errors for each corrected reading.

In some cases these cells had been preincubated at 4°C or 37°C in azide with saturating amounts of KJ 16-133. Cells were then thoroughly washed and analyzed for fluorescence staining using a cytofluorograph.
