CytoStream™ Rabbit Anti-TUBB Recombinant Antibody (VS13-YC1191)

CAT#: VS13-YC1191

The CytoStream™ Rabbit Anti-TUBB Recombinant Antibody is specific for human, mouse and rat TUBB. The TUBB gene encodes a beta-tubulin protein that forms a dimer with alpha-tubulin, acting as a structural component of microtubules. Mutations in this gene can lead to cortical dysplasia and complex brain malformations. The anti-TUBB antibody was developed and selected by our CytoStream™ platform and the mAb is recommended for use in flow cytometry staining (1/50).

  • Function
  • Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules, a cylinder consisting of laterally associated linear protofilaments composed of alpha- and beta-tubulin heterodimers. Microtubules grow by the addition of GTP-tubulin dimers to the microtubule end, where a stabilizing cap forms. Below the cap, tubulin dimers are in GDP-bound state, owing to GTPase activity of alpha-tubulin.
