SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-VWF pH-dependent Antibody (Clone h82D6A3)

The anti-VWF pH-dependent antibody (clone h82D6A3) is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that exhibits pH-dependent antigen binding to human VWF. By introducing histidine mutations that act as a pH-switch, the antibody demonstrates a preferential affinity for VWF under acidic conditions compared to physiological pH. Using a yeast surface display system with a pH-dependent screening pressure, this mAb is identified which shows a significant increase in dissociation from VWF at pH 6.0. This pH-sensitive antibody retains its binding affinity on tumor cells while exhibiting negligible binding to the receptor on normal cells at physiological pH. Human VWF (von Willebrand Factor) is a large multimeric glycoprotein essential for normal hemostasis. It plays a critical role in blood clotting by mediating platelet adhesion to the site of vascular injury.
