H-2Kb/Ovalbumin (KVVRFDKL) MHC Pentamer

CAT#: MHC-YC233

MHC multimers have a high avidity for CD8 T cells, and can be used in the analysis of individual antigen-specific T cells. This product is a Pentamer of peptide/MHC complex with KVVRFDKL sequence covering 55-62 of Ovalbumin and H-2Kb molecule. The peptide/MHC pentamer provided here is unlabeled or fluorescent labeled such as Biotin, R-PE, APC. And all of them are available in 50, 150 or 500 tests.

Target

  • Antigen Introduction
  • Ovalbumin is the main protein found in egg white, making up approximately 55% of the total protein. Ovalbumin displays sequence and three-dimensional homology to the serpin superfamily, but unlike most serpins it is not a serine protease inhibitor. The function of ovalbumin is unknown, although it is presumed to be a storage protein.

Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Excellent for FC
The H-2Kb/Ovalbumin Pentamer worked perfectly in our flow cytometry experiments. It enabled precise identification of antigen-specific CD8+ T cells, and the results were consistent across multiple trials. Highly recommend this for immunological studies.
Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Unparalleled specificity and reliability
The specificity and binding efficiency of the H-2Kb/Ovalbumin MHC Pentamer are exceptional. It provided a significant improvement over other detection reagents we've used in the past, resulting in more accurate flow cytometry data.
Breast cancer biomarkers at key points during disease progression
Clear and easy to follow
The product's instruction for use were clear and easy to follow, making the staining process straightforward. The resulting data were highly reproducible, greatly aiding our study on immune responses to Ovalbumin.

Q&As

  1. Can the H-2Kb/Ovalbumin MHC Pentamer be used in conjunction with flow cytometry to identify CD8+ T cells?

A: Absolutely, this MHC Pentamer is specifically designed to bind to CD8+ T cells that recognize the Ovalbumin-derived peptide. It is compatible with flow cytometry, allowing precise identification and quantification of these antigen-specific T cells.

  2. How frequently should one titrate the H-2Kb/Ovalbumin MHC Pentamer for optimal binding in flow cytometry assays?

A: Titrate the Pentamer before starting a new experimental series or switching to a different cell line. This ensures good binding and consistent results in flow cytometry tests.

  3. Can this MHC Pentamer be used to study the kinetics of T cell activation over a prolonged period?

A: Yes, the H-2Kb/Ovalbumin MHC Pentamer is suitable for longitudinal studies. It can track T cell activation and monitor antigen-specific T cell populations over extended periods, providing insights into the dynamics of immune responses.
