The Mouse Hdac4 Quick ELISA Kit (VS-0726-YC2884) is designed for quickly quantify Mouse HDAC4 with a sensitivity of 266.272 pg/mL. The kit is based on sandwich ELISA (quantitative) and the total experimental duration is 90 minutes. It is a reliable tool used for the quantitative detection of Hdac4 in Cell lysate and other biological samples. Mouse Histone Deacetylase 4 (Hdac4) is a class IIa chromatin-remodeling enzyme that shuttles between the cytoplasm and nucleus, removing acetyl groups from core histone tails to repress genes controlling chondrocyte hypertrophy and skeletal development. Phosphorylation-dependent nuclear export of HDAC4 is instructively tracked to evaluate modern therapeutic targets engineered for cardiomyopathy.

- Histone deacetylase 4 (Hdac4) is a class IIa histone deacetylase that catalyzes the removal of acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones and non-histone proteins, altering chromatin structure and repressing gene transcription. Unlike class I HDACs, Hdac4 exhibits low intrinsic catalytic activity and functions primarily as a transcriptional corepressor by scaffolding other chromatin-remodeling complexes. Hdac4 continuously shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm; phosphorylation by kinases like AMPK or CAMK prompts 14-3-3 protein binding and nuclear export, relieving transcription repression. It plays crucial roles in skeletogenesis, chondrocyte differentiation, and neuronal survival.
