The Mouse Hspd1 Quick ELISA Kit (VS-0726-YC2766) is designed for quickly quantify Mouse HSP60 with a sensitivity of 5.1 pg/mL. The kit is based on sandwich ELISA (quantitative) and the total experimental duration is 90 minutes. It is a reliable tool used for the quantitative detection of Hspd1 in Cell extract, Tissue extract and other biological samples. Mouse Hsp60 (Hspd1) is an essential mitochondrial matrix molecular chaperone that assembles into a heptameric double-ring complex to coordinate the native folding and structural stabilization of newly imported organelle proteins. Under proteotoxic stress conditions, accumulated Hsp60 translocates to the cytosol or extracellular space to operate as a pro-inflammatory danger signal.

- Introduction
- Heat shock protein family D member 1 (Hspd1), commonly termed Heat Shock Protein 60 (HSP60), is a highly conserved molecular chaperone essential for mitochondrial protein folding. Synthesized in the cytosol, it is imported into the mitochondrial matrix where it forms a homo-oligomeric tetradecameric complex. Working alongside its co-chaperone Hspe1 (Hsp10), Hspd1 utilizes ATP hydrolysis to facilitate the correct folding of native proteins and prevent misfolding or aggregation under cellular stress. Beyond its mitochondrial homeostatic role, cytosolic and extracellular Hspd1 can act as a signaling molecule to modulate innate immune responses via toll-like receptors.
