Human Anti-BCAM (clone C7) scFv-Fc Chimera

This product is a human single-chain variable fragment-Fc (scFv-Fc) antibody construct targeting CD239. It is based on the C7 phage clone. The scFv portion, derived from the variable regions of the heavy and light chains of the C7 antibody, is linked and then fused to the Fc portion of human IgG1. This construct is designed for potential therapeutic applications, particularly as a component of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). The C7-Fc antibody binds to CD239-expressing cells, and when conjugated with a cytotoxic drug like a fragment of diphtheria toxin (fDT), it can selectively kill these cells. The text shows that the C7-Fc antibody alone does not influence cellular functions, highlighting the importance of the drug conjugate for its anticancer activity.
