The recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid ScFv-Fc Antibody is produced using a full-length recombinant Nucleocapsid Protein as the immunogen. The nucleocapsid (N) protein of the coronavirus plays a critical role in RNA synthesis and acts as an RNA chaperone, which aids in template switching during the viral replication process. This protein is the most prevalent within coronaviruses, as it encapsulates the viral genome RNA into a helical ribonucleocapsid, significantly boosting subgenomic RNA transcription and enhancing the efficiency of viral replication. Due to its highly conserved sequence and robust immunogenic properties, the N protein is an ideal target for the development of diagnostic tools aimed at detecting coronaviruses.
