The Human PECAM1 Quick ELISA Kit (VS-0726-YC1991) is designed for quickly quantify Human PECAM-1 with a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL. The kit is based on sandwich ELISA and the total experimental duration is 120 minutes. It is a reliable tool used for the quantitative detection of PECAM1 in Plasma, Cell culture supernatant, Cell lysate, Tissue lysate and other biological samples. Platelet Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (PECAM-1/CD31) is a 130 kDa homophilic cell adhesion glycoprotein highly concentrated at endothelial cell tight intercellular junctions, mediating leukocyte transendothelial migration. In diagnostic immunohistochemistry, CD31 profiling is the gold standard clinical technique deployed to evaluate tumor tissue microvascular density.

- The protein encoded by this gene is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions.
