Recombinant Rabbit Anti-MMP1 Capture Antibody (clone R87-8B-9) (CAT#: VS3-WK1848)

This antibody is a rabbit recombinant antibody against human MMP1. It was developed by immunization of rabbit with recombinant human MMP1 protein and then was produced as a recombinant antibody. The isotype of this product is rabbit IgG. The sandwich ELISA was established using matched antibody pair R87-8B-9 and R71-4W-3. The clone R87-8B-9 can be used as a capture antibody in ELISA analysis to identify human MMP1.

  • Undergoes autolytic cleavage to two major forms (22 kDa and 27 kDa). A minor form (25 kDa) is the glycosylated form of the 22 kDa form. The 27 kDa form has no activity while the 22/25 kDa form can act as activator for collagenase.
    Tyrosine phosphorylated in platelets by PKDCC/VLK.
  • Function
  • Cleaves collagens of types I, II, and III at one site in the helical domain. Also cleaves collagens of types VII and X.
    In case of HIV infection, interacts and cleaves the secreted viral Tat protein, leading to a decrease in neuronal Tat's mediated neurotoxicity.
