The Human / Mouse RELA Quick ELISA Kit (VS-0726-YC2153) is designed for quickly quantify NF kappaB p65 with a sensitivity of 5 µg/mL. The kit is based on sandwich ELISA (semi-quantitative) and the total experimental duration is 90 minutes. It is a reliable tool used for the quantitative detection of RELA in Cell lysate, Tissue Homogenate and other biological samples. NF-kB p65 (RelA) is a foundational subunit of the dimeric NF-kB transcription factor complex, normally sequestered within the cytoplasm by IkB alpha until IKK-mediated IkB degradation allows rapid p65 nuclear translocation to drive pro-inflammatory gene cascades. Clinical oncology and immunology pipelines monitor p65 nuclear density as a primary metric confirming systemic innate immune activation.

Introduction
NF-kappa-B is a ubiquitous transcription factor involved in several biological processes. It is held in the cytoplasm in an inactive state by specific inhibitors. Upon degradation of the inhibitor, NF-kappa-B moves to the nucleus and activates transcription of specific genes. NF-kappa-B is composed of NFKB1 or NFKB2 bound to either REL, RELA, or RELB. The most abundant form of NF-kappa-B is NFKB1 complexed with the product of this gene, RELA. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
