The kappa myeloma antigen (KMA) is a unique cell surface antigen specifically associated with malignant plasma cells in patients with kappa light-chain restricted multiple myeloma (κMM), as well as some kappa-type lymphomas and B cells in Waldenstr?m's macroglobulinemia. It is not found on normal B cells, other normal immune cells, or normal human tissues, making it an attractive target for cancer therapy.
